Scouts to serve moms breakfast

Boy Scout Troop 127 will serve up its 43rd annual Mother's Day Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sun., May 14 at Malibou Lake Lodge, 29033 Lake Vista Drive, Agoura.

Tickets are $5 adults, $3 seniors and children 12 and under.

The menu includes "all you can eat" ham and eggs, pancakes, orange juice, coffee, tea or milk. Door prizes donated by local merchants will be awarded throughout the morning.

Troop 127 is sponsored by the Las Virgenes Optimists. Funds earned at the event help the troop maintain and renew its camping equipment and other supplies.

Breakfast, prepared by Troop 127 dads, will be served by Boy Scouts ranging in age from 11 to 18.

Geoff Gunn is the troop's scoutmaster. A lifelong Agoura resident who grew up at Malibou Lake, Gunn participated in the event when he was 9. His father was then the troop's scoutmaster.
