Scouts make new rank

EAGLES-Jeremy Burgess, left, and Thomas Hazard of Boy Scout Troop 22 in Woodland Hills recently earned the Eagle Scout rank by completing their projects and earning badges. Jeremy Burgess and Thomas Hazard, members of Boy Scout Troop 22 in Woodland Hills, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Jeremy's project was building a memorial garden and waterfall at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Woodland Hills. He is a senior currently attending Oak Park Independent School and Pierce College, and plans to attend UCLA this fall.

For his project Thomas dismantled several decaying skateboard ramps and erected a basketball court next to the other ramps in the skate park at Gateway Foursquare Church in Agoura Hills. A senior at Agoura High School, Thomas plans to attend San Diego State University in the fall.
