Cabrillo Theatre announces new board Cabrillo Music Theatre has named its new executive advisory board. Board members include: Deborah Duclon, president, Lightkeeper Productions; David Fischette, president and CEO, Go West Events & Multimedia; Rebecca Kirschbaum, senior director, corporate relocation, ADP; Louis Klonsky, executive, Chevron; Bruce Meikle, partner, Capital Group Companies; Jeff Moxie, chief financial officer, Sunkist; Jan Rosenthal, producer; Charlie Scatamacchia, vice president, Rodgers and Hammerstein; and Ray Scherr, founder, Guitar Center, Inc./Janet and Ray Scherr Forum. "This dynamic group brings to Cabrillo both keen business acumen and considerable performing arts experience. The expertise of these extraordinary individuals is a great resource to Cabrillo as we build our premier regional theatre company," said Carole Nussbaum, the theatre's president and CEO. Cabrillo Music Theatre is the resident musical theatre company to the Countrywide Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. For more than three decades, Cabrillo "has been enriching the cultural life of Ventura County by providing an extraordinary performing arts experience" through live musical theatre for the community and local region, according to Nussbaum. Cabrillo's Adopt-a-School program provides the children of underserved schools with an opportunity to see live musical theatre at no cost. Cabrillo Music Theatre's upcoming production of Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" will be presented from July 28 to Aug. 6 in the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. |
