School bond issue is clarified
On April 13, The Acorn ran an article about the Oak Park Unified School District bond measures B6 and C6, which will appear on the June 6 ballot. Some statements were unclear and left many readers with impressions that are not accurate.

New finance measure deserves full backing
After reading The Acorn article on Oak Park school facility bond measures I flipped back to the front to see if it was marked "editorial" as its out-of-balance report nearly tipped me over.

Graduation fee uncalled for
Isn't any other parent irritated that they are being charged $10 per ticket, after the first four free tickets, to see their son or daughter graduate? This is outrageous. This is the last chance that the high schools will get to gouge us.

Genocide not tolerated
Where were you in 1994 when the genocide occurred in Rwanda? That is what I asked myself in embarrassment after seeing the film, "Hotel Rwanda." In the future, when Hollywood brings to the screen the horrors that are occurring in Darfur in 2006 will we need to ask ourselves the same question
