'Tweens can be rock stars at day camp

Want to be a rock star? Get a taste of the life of a rock and roller at DayJams, a rock star reality day camp for boys and girls ages 9 to 15.

The two DayJams sessions will be from Mon., July 31 through Fri. Aug. 4 and Aug. 7 through 11 at St. Martin-in-theFields Episcopal School, 7136 Winnetka Ave., Winnetka.

During each session, campers get to play in a band, record their

own CD and perform live on stage at a concert. At time of sign up, enrollees will chose one of five musical areas: guitar, bass, keyboard, drums or vocals.

The camp is open to youth of all levels of musical skill-even absolute beginners.

The fee is $610 for one week and $1,135 for both weeks.
