Diantha Shaffer

Diantha Shaffer of the Troop Real Estate office in Westlake Village was honored for the second year in a row by President Brian Troop and Manager Patti Hepple at the Troop annual awards ceremony as Agent of the Year. Diantha shares this honor with Bryan Scott.

This prestigious award is only given out yearly and is voted on by fellow agents within the office. The award goes to the agent who shows integrity, knowledge, consideration and willingness to help agents in their office.

Diantha was also presented with the President's Club award for her closed production in listings and sales of nearly $11 million for 2005. More than 60 percent of her sales were for properties in Oak Park. She has established herself as the Oak Park area specialist and her sales volume and community service attest to that status. For her outstanding achievement, she was given a trip to Big Island, Hawaii.

Before starting her real estate career, Diantha had been active in the Oak Park community, making generous contributions of time and money to the Oak Park Unified School District. Diantha currently serves as the vice chair of the measure D4 Citizens Oversight Committee and the media chair and a school site coordinator for Oak Park Schools. She also started and funded an

annual $1,000 scholarship at Oak Park High School in honor of Coach Kevin Smith.

Diantha is well known for her role in supporting our soldiers. In appreciation for her brother who is in the Army serving in Iraq, she started an AdoptA-Soldier program for the men in his platoon, which has picked up support from high school students and fellow Troop Real Estate agents. She supports Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit group that sends anonymous care packages to soldiers overseas.

Her heart is in serving her community and through everything she does she seeks to inspire others to join her.

Shaffer is a local realtor with experience in contract negotiation, marketing and community service. She lives in Oak Park with her two sons.
