Stop gender bias

I thought the point of a sports program was to integrate fitness, talent, fair play and team work.

What are we teaching our children? Are we teaching them that the only way to win is to violate someone's civil rights? Do we deny them participation based on their gender?

Triunfo YMCA reports no coed basketball program and prides itself on its segregated basketball teams.

We need to demand equal and fair play in our sports program. If the sports programs cannot reach to this higher level of participation, then why are we funding them? Jeanne Cope-Littman Oak Park
