Positive parenting to be taught in Calabasas class

The Parent-and-Me positive parenting class is an informative playtime that aims to maximize a child's potential.

Parent and child playing together can increase a toddler's self-confidence, attention span, problem-solving skills and vocabulary. Children can acquire the skills needed to enjoy meaningful friendships while decreasing tantrums, acting out and other frustrating behaviors.

The class is scheduled on Thursdays, April 20 through May 25 at the tot lot at Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center, 23400 Park Sorrento, Calabasas.

Two sessions will be offered: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for infants up to age 1 and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for toddlers ages 1 to 3.

Class leader is Tracy Rosberg, PhD, a licensed psychologist who practices in Calabasas.

The six-week sessions cost $200.
