Relationship comedy coming to Malibu

Malibu Stage Company will present Yasmina Reza's "Life X 3" from April 14 to May 7 at 29243 Pacific Coast Hwy., Malibu. Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday with a 3 p.m. Sunday matinee.

From the author of the Tony award-winning play "Art" comes a comedy about two couples and one dinner party, played out on three different nights.

Henry and Sonia are having a difficult evening with their wakeful six-year-old son, but Henry has other worries. About to publish the results of two years' research on the flatness of galaxy halos, he's desperate to make a good impression on the distinguished astrophysicist Hubert Finidori, who wields decisive influence over the question of Henry's promotion. So when Hubert arrives with his rebellious wife, Inez, in tow for dinner on the wrong night, the stage is set for a catastrophe.
