Kindergarten new student registration announced for Oak Park

Registration for kindergarten and new students in the Oak Park Unified School District will be at the individual schools as follows:

For Red Oak Elementary School, registration will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Mon., April 3 for students entering school who currently have a sibling attending Red Oak.

For Brookside and Oak Hills elementary schools, registration will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Mon., April 3 for students entering school who currently have a sibling attending the respective school.

Registration for kindergarten and all new students entering the school district will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tues., April 4 and Wed., April 5. Parents may sign up at the appropriate school.

To be eligible for kindergarten this September, the child must be five years old on or before Dec. 2.

At the time of registration, parents will need to bring proof of residency, complete immunization records, child's social security number, birth certificate (for kindergarten) and address of former school (for new students).

Children do not need to be present at registration.
