Camp staff needed for Triunfo YMCA program

The Triunfo YMCA is seeking experienced camp directors and counselors for its summer camp program, which runs from June through August.

"The YMCA has very strict criteria," said Chrissy Withers, Triunfo YMCA program director. "We're particular, but we believe parents would want us to have high expectations for our summer staff."

Camp directors must be 21 years or older and have at least 12 applicable college units completed. Prospective directors must be willing to enroll and complete Administration in Early Childhood courses available at local colleges.

Counselors must be at least 16 years old and have completed a minimum 36 hours of YMCA camp training.

Directors will be responsible for planning and supervising camp activities at sites throughout Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Oak Park. Counselors will work with groups of 10 campers in designated activities.

The Triunfo YMCA is also looking for volunteers for the front office, childcare and the Junior Lakers basketball league.
