GOP women to host guest speaker

Dr. Wu-lien Wei The Thousand Oaks Republican Women Federated will host a special luncheon beginning with an 11:30 a.m. reception on Thurs., April 6 at Sherwood Country Club, 320 W. Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks. The luncheon and program will begin at noon.

Guests include National Federation Republican Women President Beverly Davis and Dr. Wu-lien Wei, director general of Taipei Economic and Cultural AffairsLos Angeles, who will discuss "Relations Between Taiwan and the U.S."

Also on the program is Capt. Steve Chealander, CEO of flight operations for American Airlines, a former military aide to former president Ronald Reagan on Air Force One.

Musical entertainment will be provided by A Class Act from the Westlake High School choral music department, under the direction of Alan Rose.

The cost is $32 for students and $49 for members and guests.
