Calabasas softball star to be honored by National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame SPECIAL ATHLETE-Calabasas High School senior Samantha Marder, a member of the Coyote softball team, will be the recipient of the 2006 Pearl D. Mazor Award given to the Outstanding Jewish Female High School Scholar Athlete of the Year. The award will be presented at the 14th Annual National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Ceremony, Sun., April 20 at The Suffolk YJCC in Commack, New York. "Samantha epitomizes the high school scholar athlete, and we are thrilled to be honoring her," Lynne Kramer, Hall of Fame chairman wrote in an e-mail.
