More tickets are needed, not fewer

I have lived in Agoura Hills since 1978 and have never received a traffic ticket. I drive with respect for my Agoura neighborhoods, my neighbors, their children, dogs, horses, etc. Maybe I've just been lucky but somehow I don't think that's why.

Traffic laws are made for a purpose. The original letter writer on this subject is a self-confessed poor driver who drives without respect for the citizens of this city that they deserve.

I personally hope the Sheriff's Department increases their ticket writing to an even higher level until all the bad drivers finally get the point. If it weren't for the poor drivers, we wouldn't need so much sheriff's protection to keep us safe. Thom Bancroft Agoura Hills
