Crossing guard is fed up

I'm a crossing guard at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Lake Lindero. While not crossing students, I'm able to observe many moving vehicles.

Many of them are impatient, rude and reckless, speeding and running red lights. I've witnessed many accidents. Students and myself were nearly hit by autos.

Even though drivers have been irate when they receive a traffic citation, they don't realize they might have endangered a student or myself.

Drivers, learn the vehicle code, abide by it and you have nothing to worry about. We need more enforcement at this intersection, but I realize the sheriffs are overwhelmed by how much territory they have to cover. Jerry Cadish Agoura Hills
