Concerned about Westlake wall

Thank you for sharing the Westlake City Council's concern for the freeway noise in their support of the 16-foot high wall around the new Dole hotel and spa. As I listen to the freeway noise through double-paned windows at 3 a.m., I hope the increased business tax base will go to build a wall to reduce freeway noise for the city's residents south of the freeway.

What kind of planning does Westlake have?

Never mind the wall's decor- have you noticed the skyscraperlike building as you drive down Lindero Canyon from Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Will tall trees help this?

How could this happen? The city of Westlake's government represents business interests and not the welfare of the residents.

Yes, you can vote your representatives out of office, but the damage is done. Maybe the residents of Westlake should require all future business and land zoning proposals to be determined by a vote of the residents.

Finally, to The Acorn, thank you for being a sounding board for Westlake Village residents' concerns, when the city of Westlake is not. Gerry Brennan Westlake Village
