The National Park Service will host a cultural craft workshop from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 1 to 3 p.m. Sun., March 26 at the Satwiwa Native American Culture Center on the grounds of Rancho Sierra Vista/ Satwiwa, off Via Goleta/Lynn Road in Newbury Park.

Nadiya Littlewarrior, a member of the Potawatomi tribe, will lead participants in crafting a miniature gourd necklace. The name "Potawatomi" refers to the tribe's religious and political role as "fire keepers."

There is no fee to participate but reservations, which are recommended, can be made by calling (805) 375-1930. Workshops are offered each month. Call (805) 370-2301 for directions.
