Great year for OPHS girls' JV soccer

The Oak Park girls' junior varsity soccer team won the TriValley League championship with a 7-0-1 overall record.

The Lady Eagles scored 38 goals this season while allowing only four. The team's offense was headed by captain Amanda Cox, Kelsea Shorten, Sam Futterman, Francesca Bruno, Erica Perlman and Molly Cummings. Midfielders Emily Abate, Sydney Zide, Ruby Haber, Jennifer Colquhoun and Victoria Cameron dominated all season long.

Oak Park's defense was led by captain Lindsey Guttchen, Sonia Araya, Ashley Brodkin, Brianna Fischer and Brooke Denning. Goalkeepers Rose Zeolla and Alison James controlled the net. The Eagles were coached by Mark Zeolla.
