Seuss comes alive on stage

Calabasas High School will present "Seussical, the Musical" at 7 p.m. from Tues., March 21 to Sat., March 25 in the campus theater at 22855 Mulholland Hwy., Cala-basas.

There will also be a 2 p.m. performance on March 25. Tickets range from $7 to $10 and are available by calling (818) 222-9991.

The musical involves all the familiar Dr. Seuss characters. Musical support will be provided by the CHS Pit Band. The story follows Horton the Elephant's efforts to save his friend Jojo and the other inhabitants. Horton is a determined, loyal and faithful friend who fights for what he knows to be true.

The director is Bill Garrett, head of the school's theater department. Fletcher Reel provides technical direction, with musical direction by Aaron Kohen and vocal direction by Alana Loewe. "Seussical" is choreographed by Jennifer Currier, assisted by Jennifer Sanett.
