WHO'S WHO OF WILDLIFE-The public is invited to get up close and personal with a selection of wild birds and mammals at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at The Commons in Calabasas. The Nature of Wildworks Wildlife Education Center will provide the public with an opportunity to get up close to wild birds and mammals from 1 to 6 p.m. Sun., March 26 at Barnes and Noble Booksellers in The Commons, 4735 Commons Way, Calabasas.

This event will help raise funds to support the center's programs and to help assist in the care of the resident wildlife.

A percentage of all book sales made between 1 and 6 p.m. on Sunday will be donated to the nonprofit wildlife organization.

On the day of the event, vouchers will be distributed in the store at the "Wildworks" display to use when purchasing books and other items.

Vouchers may also be obtained in advance by e-mailing wildworks1@aol.com.

The center will be promoting books about animals, wildlife and nature; however, all merchandise purchased with vouchers during the event is eligible for the Bookfair contribution, including books, music, magazines, caf gift items, and other items. Gift cards, memberships and caf food are not included.

Children and adults will view some rarely seen hawks, owls and other wildlife. Attendees will learn about the animals' habitats and roles in nature, as well as hearing interesting stories about the creatures themselves. Attendees may even meet two owls named Barnes and Noble.
