The speeding needs to stop

I enjoyed Keith Cornell's letter from last week. He brought up the fact that he never, or almost never, sees the sheriff's cars use their directional signals when making turns. I can verify his fact. I can't remember the last time I ever saw a sheriff's patrol car indicate a change of lane or a turn. I agree with Cornell's statement: "I was under the impression that if you set a good example that people will appreciate and reciprocate."

I have lived in Calabasas for 40 years and have never received a ticket for a vehicle violation.

How do my wife and I avoid tickets? We avoid them by following the rules of the road and being very observant. We let nothing distract us while driving.

That's all I have to say, but maybe some of the above will make an impression on those what think Adamor Road where I live is a speedway and to please slow down to 25 miles per hour.

Thank you for being a great "little" paper. Michael Bird Calabasas
