Animal shelter offers training for volunteers

The Agoura Animal Shelter is seeking volunteers to work hands-on with the facility's dogs, cats and rabbits.

Volunteer orientation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., April 15 in Agoura Hills.

Orientation and basic training is required for all animal care volunteers and those wishing to foster animals. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and there is a $10 fee for the required official volunteer T-shirt.

Interested parties should complete and return an application form available at the Agoura Animal Shelter at 29525 Agoura Road. The form also can be downloaded from the website www.animalcontrol.co.la.ca.us/ html/pages/jobs/volunteer.htm.

Completed applications can be turned in at the shelter's front counter, or faxed to (562) 4223408.
