AHS junior varsity girls’ basketball squad wins championship


MARMONTE’S FINEST—The Agoura junior varsity girls’ basketball team has won the Marmonte League championship after compiling a 13-1 league record. The Chargers were 19-4 overall. Sophomore co-captains Taylor Lord and Cassie Kogler were consistent playmakers for the Lady Chargers. As a power forward, Lord led the team in scoring (12 ppg), rebounds (10 rpg) and blocks. Kogler, a point guard, was second on the team with eight points per game. Guard Yasmine Farijani, and centers Jenny Jones and Emily Sampson were key contributors for Agoura, as were Monica Schweitzer, Leah Lowenthal, Brit Sharon, Kaitlyn Wilson, Shani Leead and Laura Brownfield.
