Thinks Lowe’s needed public vote

My family and I unfortunately were out of town during the final Westlake Village City Council meeting where the elimination of Lowe’s into the forthcoming Town Center was decided.

On such an important issue as this, I do not think it was realistic or appropriate that a few outspoken individuals were able to influence our city council in their decision to exclude Lowe’s from the Town Center.

If decisions like this were put to a citywide referendum, I am certain that such a vote would more accurately reflect the interests of residents of Westlake Village and indirectly those of surrounding communities whose residents would surely patronize Lowe’s.

Incidentally, we certainly see many NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) Agoura Hills citizens shopping at Costco. Lou Gates Westlake Village
