The Great Wall controversy

I’ve just read the Feb. 23 edition of The Acorn and couldn’t agree more with John Bamberger of Oak Park, “The Dole Wellness Center looks like a prison.” I’m not sure if the surrounding 12-foot high wall is to keep the community out or its four-star guests in.

I admit I was not a supporter of the proposed Lowe’s project. However, after comparing Lowe’s proposed plans to the monster concrete wall of Dole, I would select Lowe’s any day of the week.

Mayor, city council and members of the planning commission, please explain what you were thinking? Robert Lumley Westlake Village
