Church begins contemporary worship service

Spirit Works, a new contemporary worship and ministry at West Hills Church, is presenting a series called “First Fridays,” a monthly evening of worship, tunes and testimony with guest performers, filmmakers and speakers.

At 7:30 p.m. Fri., March 3, Spirit Works presents Christian comedian Bill Farmer and his wife, Jennifer, a filmmaker.

Bill Farmer has been the voice of Disney’s Goofy and Pluto for almost 20 years. He is an impressionist with more than 100 celebrity voices and has appeared in movies, but is best known “behind the mic.” Farmer has voiced hundreds of animated TV shows and movies.

Jennifer Farmer will show a short film and speak about the role for Christians in Hollywood. She will also present her documentary for Habitat for Humanity and introduce Gerhard Runken from the San Fernando Valley affiliate, as well as musical guest Debbie Obarski.
