Video editing workshop offered

In conjunction with the eighth annual Conejo Teen Video Festival, Adelphia Cable and the Conejo Recreation and Park District will host a video-editing workshop on Sat., March 4 at the Alex Fiore Teen Center, 1375 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Adelphia will make available to certified public access users camera packs, lights, audio, editing bays and a free music library. Editing equipment is also available at the Teen Center.

Workshop entry fee is $10 per tape for Conejo Valley residents and $15 for nonresidents.

The festival is open to Conejo Valley-area youth age 19 in the following categories: documentaries, fiction, music videos and public service commercials.

The entry deadline is June 2, and video festival screenings will be at Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park High Schools on June 23 and 24. An award ceremony is scheduled for June 28 in the Scherr Forum Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
