FISHING FOR GOODIES—Kingfisher Road gift shop is celebrating its first anniversary with a fresh inventory. The boutique is a favorite with residents who come for the good company, as well as delightfully different gift ideas. The Kingfisher Road gift shop is celebrating its first anniversary this month with a new collection of gifts, jewelry and home accessories for every budget. The proprietor is Calabasas resident Kelly Epstein.

The store evolved from Epstein’s penchant for providing unique beautifully-wrapped gifts for her neighbors and friends while working from her home.

She eventually opened the Kingfisher Road business as her reputation grew, moving into the cottage-like building her store currently occupies. “I enjoy stopping when driving by to explore what new fun things Kelly has on display,” said longtime customer and Calabasas City Councilmember Mary Sue Maurer. “It’s like a neighborhood cafĂ© where you’re bound to see someone you know, or Kelly will introduce you to another shopper she has befriended.”

Many regular customers stop in to say hello and share a cup of tea with Epstein.

The store is at 5351 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information, please call (818) 887-1687.
