Orrin Star to perform at Gateway Church

At 8 p.m. Fri., Feb. 24, Gateway Church will host a concert featuring Orrin Star.

Star is an award-winning guitarist who combines “hot picking, cool singing and good humor,” according to a church spokeswoman.

Once described as “Arlo Guthrie-meets-Doc Watson,” Star was the 1976 national flatpicking champion and has performed on “A Prairie Home Companion.”
