Learn about emergency shelters in Calabasas

The city of Calabasas and the American Red Cross of Ventura County will offer a “Shelter Operations Course” for individuals interested in learning how to open and run a shelter in response to disasters that affect local communities.

The course will teach participants the important components of shelter operations, and will culminate in a tabletop drill.

The course will be presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Feb. 18 at the Tennis and Swim Center, 23400 Park Sorrento, Calabasas and again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tues., Feb. 28 in City Hall Council Chambers, 26135 Mureau Road, Calabasas.
