Author to discuss book at signing

The public is invited to join Ruth Anderson Ellenson, author of “The Modern Jewish Girl’s Guide to Guilt,” a collection of essays by Jewish women writers about everything from pedicures on Yom Kippur to divorcing “Mr. Jewish Right.”

The book has received critical acclaim, including a review in the Los Angeles Times that says it contains “strong, moving stories about what it means . . . to be a Jewish woman in today’s world.”

The book can be purchased at the event and autographed by the author.

Ellenson, the daughter of a rabbi and a Christian convert to Judaism, will talk about some of the fascinating incidents featured in the book. She will also answer questions from the audience.

The event is at 9 a.m. on Wed., Feb. 22 in Room 386 of Sierra Hall on the west side of the campus near Prairie Street and Etiwanda Avenue, Northridge.
