Resident named ‘Wonder Woman of Toys’
Lynn Rosenblum Lynn Rosenblum, an Agoura Hills resident and veteran toymakerachieved the 2006 Wonder Woman of Toys award from the Women in Toys organization, a nonprofigroup based in Sun Valley.
Rosenblum was chosen for her outstanding contributions to the
oy-making industry and won the award in the manufacturer’s category.
“I feel so lucky to have been working in the toy business for so many years,” Rosenblum said“Now to receive the ‘Wonder Woman of Toys’ award is the icing on the cake. It is such a thrill to be honored for my work in an industry I love so much.”
Rosenblum said she will receive her award this Saturday at a dinner during the American International Toy Fair in New York City. She will join winners in the retailer, inventory/designer, entrepreneur and women-to-watch categories.
Rosenblum was selected from over 30 nominees based on essays submitted by peers detailing her outstanding characteristics, including leadership qualities, innovationposition within the industry, accomplishments and mentoring abilitiesA 20-year veteran of the toy industry, Rosenblum launched her career in advertising and said she recognized that she was a “kid aheart.” She added that after all these years, she is still passionate aboutoy making.
As an executive at Mattel, she worked on some of their most popular brands, including Barbie, Polly Pocket and toys for Nickelodeon and Disney, to name a few.
After leaving Mattel, Rosenblum launched her own full-service marketing consulting firm, Toy Power Consulting. She provided her expertise and experience to over 35 clients over 10 years.
Today, Rosenblum is the vice president of business development for Overbreak LLC, heading the marketing department and overseeing trade shows, inventor relations and public relations divisions. Overbreak manufactures toys, fashion, food and electronics.
