Resident wins county appointment

Solon Soteras L.A. County Supervisor Michael Antonovich announced the board of supervisors has unanimously approved the appointment of Solon Soteras to the Economy and Efficiency Commission.

Soteras of Westlake Village is a pension fund consultant with Comerica Securities.

He’s had a 40-year career as a banker with Ahmanson Bank, California Overseas Bank and Imperial Bank. He also served as president of the Beverly Hills Bankers Association and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Soteras was formerly a trustee of the California State Teachers Retirement System and served as trustee of the Los Angeles County Board of Investments.
