Random act of kindness is appreciated

The grateful Irish tourist who wrote The Acorn last week to sing the praises of his dentist, Dr. Shore, who helped him with an emergency while he was visiting in Agoura Hills, shines a light on the secret behavior of people all over the world.

There are millions of human beings who are kind to strangers. And there are millions more who take the time to acknowledge that kindness.

If we could publish all such kindnesses there would be no space for the hatred and craziness that dominates our news.

Humans are capable of great altruism. We surprise each other everyday with acts of civility and selflessness. I'm so pleased our Irish guest took the time to share his experience with us. Thanks to Mr. Kirby for some news we can use. Camille Sindell Oak Park
