Presentation is free for Audubon Society and museum members

Pereksta will focus special attention on endangered and threatened species and what local volunteers are doing to protect them. He has seen more than 1,100 species in his travels in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Belize and has photographed nearly 700 of them. Locally, he holds records, including top Ventura County big year (333 species) and top county big day (183 species).

The presentation is free for Audubon Society and museum members and is included with museum admission for nonmembers.
