Neil Simon’s salute to Broadway coming

The Kentwood Players will present the Los Angeles-area premiere of Neil Simon’s “heartwarming and honest” comedy, “45 Seconds from Broadway,” at the Westchester Playhouse, 8301 Hindry Ave., Los Angeles. Performances are through Feb. 18, with 8 p.m. shows on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sunday matinees.

The play takes the audience behind the scenes in the Edison Café, nicknamed the “Polish Tea Room,” where Broadway theater personalities gather and schmooze.

“Great acting roles abound and home truths are revealed as Neil Simon continues to explore the more difficult aspects of life,” said Ben Lupejkis of Westchester Playhouse.
