Has Dole complex become the Forbidden City?

I was angered and shocked when I viewed the 12-foot high wall being constructed along Lindero Road and the freeway off ramp. The Westlake Hotel and Spa should have been a great asset to the cities of Westlake Village, Oak Park and Thousand Oaks. Instead, a main portal into my community is a sound wall.

The Westlake Hotel and Spa has now become the new Forbidden City, Oriental pagoda and all.

What promised to be a great asset to the community is now hidden from the community’s view by this intrusive barrier. What a disappointment and what a blight on our community. Edward E. Gripp Thousand Oaks
