New West Symphony Association announces executive director

The New West Symphony Association has announced the appointment of Sherman Oaks resident Nelson Dodge as interim executive director of the symphony while a nationwide search is under way to find a permanent replacement. Previous executive director Kenneth Hopper recently resigned to become general manager of the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra.

Dodge has been an active member of the symphony’s board of directors since its 1995 founding. He was previously chair of the Major Projects Committee, which developed and implemented the symphony’s recent expansion into the Wadsworth Theatre in Brentwood.

He has a master’s from Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management and is president of MarketStorm LLC, a branding and marketing consulting firm he founded in 1996.
