Mayor rotation shouldn’t change

The flap over mayoral rotation among city council members is unbelievable.

Apparently a letter writer thinks it is unfair that the candidate for city council that receives the most votes first serves in the highest position. Last time I checked, this was called democracy.

Since when do politicians necessarily “take turns” serving in any particular position at all?

Where is the stated unfairness in he or she who represents the majority of voters setting the agenda and thus representing those who elected them?

I suspect this might be the wishful position of yet another frustrated Heschel cheerleader. Can I get a break? Larry Brown Agoura Hills
