Time for tykes to get messy The city of Calabasas Community Services Department is offering a class for children ages 1 to 4, “Let’s Get Messy.” Participants will get messy using work centers to explore a variety of hands-on “messy” materials. The class for ages 12 to 24 months will be from 10 to 10:50 a.m. For ages 2 to 4, class time is 11 to 11:50 a.m. The programs are offered Mondays from Jan. 23 to March 6 at de Anza park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas, for a $120 fee. At 10 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Jan. 25, also at de Anza Park, a “Parent & Me Pop-Up Book” class will be offered for children ages 2-and-a-half to 4 years. Parents and their children will create a bright and colorful pop-up book where they will see the story come to life on every page. The class fee is $70. For more information, call (818) 880-6461. |
