Christian women’s conference coming

Newbury Park First Christian Church will present its women’s conference, “Fire Up! It Only Takes a Spark,” at the church on Fri.. and Sat., Jan. 20 and 21. The church is at 801 Knollwood Drive and the conference is open to all women.

The event will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday evening and from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The featured speaker will be Stephanie Edwards, the dynamic co-host of the Tournament ofRoses Parade on Channel 5 each New Year’s Day. Edwards is a dedicated Christian with an inspiring story to tell, and she’ll be speaking both on Friday night and Saturday.

Included in the conference will be personal and spiritual workshops.
