Shop locally

My husband and I, inveterate home improvement people that we are, are excited to learn that the Lowe’s is to be a part of a new Town Center. No longer will we be spending time and money in Newbury Park or Chatsworth. We will now be able to shop at a destination in our own village.

We remember the furor over Costco and it turned out to be a lovely one-story, early California building that fits in beautifully with

our community and fills a need.

over the new Four Seasons Hotel, yet, as we exit the freeway at Lindero Canyon, we are shocked by the behemoth that blocks the view of the mountains and the low landscape. With the wall, it looks more like Folsom Prison than Westlake Village. More importantly to us, it will not be a part of our regular village life.

On the other hand, the Town Center plan is beautiful. It will be a regular part of our village life, garner our revenue and provide a purpose and service to residents.
