Build it, they will come

My husband and I moved to Westlake Village in August 1967 and became one of the first 50 families to live in “the city in thcountry.” We moved here becauswe trusted the developers who promised this would be a “planned community.” We have not been disappointed. What I am disappointed in wathe public display of bad mannerand disrespect displayed at thtown hall meeting at the FirsNeighborhood Community Centelast Thursday evening. My understanding was that this was to be an

environmental report for the proposed Lowe’s development, followed by questions and answersnot hissing, booing and name calling. Oddly enough, I can recollecgoing through the same irritating behavior when the Costco projecwas proposed. Now I see some othose same people shopping therebaskets piled high with quality products.

We elected our city council to use good judgment and make faidecisions. They have done theihomework and from all there renderings, the project promises to enhance our quality of living in thibeautiful community. Let’s let them do their job. Donna Trouville Westlake Village
