Westlake raises the bar on new construction


BILL SPARKES/Acorn Newspapers NERVES OF STEEL—Workers  put  a  2,500-pound  steel  fill beam into  place  as  construction continues on a new 180,000-square-foot office building at Russell Ranch Road in Westlake Village. The structure should be ready for occupancy this summer. Reports show Westlake Village leads the Conejo Valley in office square footage. The local construction boom also includes the new Dole complex, Marriot Hotel and Lowe’s retail center—if the project is approved by the city council.
