Leukemia group supports training

Team in Training is an endurance sports training program of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It helps participants prepare to run or walk a full or half marathon, cycle a 100-mile ride or complete a triathlon. The program provides personalized coaching, group training and support.

Team in Training will host information meetings to provide community residents with details on the program and the events offered for their upcoming summer season. In return for the training, participants raise funds that go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a volunteer-run organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

Upcoming meetings are scheduled as follows:

At 6:30 p.m. Wed., Jan. 18 at the city of Calabasas Library, 23975 Park Sorrento;

At 6:30 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 19 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road;

At 10:30 a.m. Sat., Jan. 21 at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive.
