Classes for kids set to begin The city of Calabasas Community Services Department is offering three Kindermusik classes which teach beginning socialization, dancing and instrument playing skills. The classes, for three different age groups, are on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 24 at de Anza Park, 3701 Lost Hills Road, Calabasas. Newborn to 18 mos. is at 10 a.m.; 18 mos. to 3 years is at 11 a.m.; and 3 to 5 years is at 2 p.m. The class fee is $80. Other classes for kids include Broadway Babies Hip-Hop for ages 3 to 7 which teaches children movements while they listen to Radio Disney songs. Class is from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 25 to March 15, for a cost of $110. A Young Rembrandts drawing program will be offered from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 26 to March 2, at de Anza Park. Children will draw landscapes, cartoons, still lifes and animals. The class is for ages 5 to 7. Beginning Tues., Jan. 31, golf classes will be offered for ages 5 to 9, 10 to 16, and 18 and up taught by the Better Golf Academy at Lindero Country Club, Agoura Hills. The clinics cover instruction in grip, setup, backswing, impact and finish. The fee is $120 for a six-week program. For more information, call (818) 880-6461. |
