Agoura Hills offers snow trips and more The city of Agoura Hills is offering three teen ski and snowboard trips to Mountain High Ski resort this winter. All trips depart from the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., at 6 a.m. and return about 7 p.m. Cost is $52 for ages 11 and 12 and $70 for ages 13 to 17, which includes bus fare and all-day lift ticket. The first trip is Mon., Jan. 16 and participants are required to bring their own gear. Lessons are available on site for an additional $30 per person. The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services is currently accepting enrollment for the winter session of karate classes for youth ages 4 through 16. Sessions will begin Tues., Jan. 17 at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center and continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call for times and fees. The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will offer a basic etiquette class for youth ages 6 to 10 from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 23 to March 20 at the Recreation Center. The cost is $120. The Recreation Center will offer a musical theatre workshop for youth ages 6 to 14 from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 23 to March 20, for a $96 fee. Taught by Broadway Babies, the class will incorporate all components of musical theatre including acting, singing, dancing, makeup, costumes and sets. A presentation will be given at the end of the session. The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will offer golf clinics for all ages beginning the week of Jan. 23 at Lindero Country Club, Agoura Hills. Youth ages 6 to 14 have the opportunity to learn golf etiquette as well as the technical components of the game and golf swing. Classes are available Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings for a $150 fee for eight lessons. From 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, an adult golf clinic is offered, also for $150. The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will offer Stroller Strides, a fitness routine that helps mothers incorporate exercise into their schedules while spending time with their children and meeting new friends. It includes power walking and intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller. Beginning Tues., Jan. 24, Stroller Strides will meet at Forest Cove Park in Agoura Hills. Classes will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays for 12 weeks. The participation fee is $120, plus a onetime equipment fee of $30. The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services presents an eight-week hip-hop dance class for youth ages 6 to 14, offered Friday afternoons beginning Jan. 27 for a $48 fee. Call for time.
