Controversial plato run at OPHS

The students of Oak Park High School’s Spotlight Theater Club will present “The Laramie Project,” a controversial play by Moises Kaufman about the brutal murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student. This student-produced play focuses on the reactions to the hate crime and the stories told by the residents of Laramie, Wyoming.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Wed. through Sat., Jan. 18 to 21 at the school, 899 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park. Admission is $5 for students, $10 for adults.

Alissa Rubinstein is the show’s producer and Tyler Holtman is director, with stage management provided by Maya Bornstein and assistance by drama teacher Allan Hunt.

ume design.
