Reader objects to conservative ‘lunacy’

Every time I read a “letter to the editor” headline that seems irritating, I realize the letter has come from one of a small handful of readers who seem to have nothing better to do than to write The Acorn every few months to spout their conservative lunacy.

William Felsman is at the top of that list. He submits articles several times each year to let us know how horrible gay marriage is, how we should all tote guns, that mothers who work should just stay home or—and this is an annual one—how our country apparently doesn’t (and shouldn’t) separate church and state. Readers understandably respond angrily, but really, why give him the satisfaction to taking his argument seriously?

He’s pushing our buttons; let’s not fall for it again. Deborah Lopez Agoura Hills

Editor’s note: As per The Acorn’s submission rules, readers are allowed to submit one letter a month.
