Boulevard of broken dreams

I own a property on Agoura Road. In the past three years, Medic Alert has repeatedly and routinely crossed the broken center line to pass slower vehicles between Cheseboro Road and Cornell Road. I’m very concerned for my life and that of my family, neighbors and other innocent folks.

It’s only a matter of time until there will be a tragic and most preventable serious bodily injury accident. I urge the city of Agoura Hills to change the center line from broken line-passing permissible to solid double line-passing prohibited.

There is far too much traffic on Agoura Road to continue a county/ rural passing permissible broken line. This change is long overdue. I urge the city council to adopt this change immediately and repaint the center line to help keep Agoura Hills residents and our guests safe.

The cost is a mere fraction of the tens of thousands spent to add guard rails along Agoura Road. Please correct this oversight and paint the center line double ASAP. Our lives depend on your good sense to correct this unsafe condition swiftly and without delay. Joseph Luithly Agoura Hills
